Who is this course suitable for?
The Annual First Aid Refresher is for certified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders looking to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date. It is highly recommended by the Health & Safety Executive that an Annual Refresher is completed in between mandatory 3 yearly requalification courses.
This course is non certified but you will find it just as valuable staying abreast of current teachings and guidelines. Your team will be remain equipped with essential first aid skills to handle workplace emergencies confidently and effectively.

Our Annual First Aid Refresher is delivered over 3 efficient hours—most often between 09:00 to 16:00. However, we understand the modern workplace is not always nine to five, so we offer flexible timing.
We can arrange on-site first aid training anywhere in Derbyshire at a time convenient to your team, including evenings or nights. Up to 16 participants can train together, learning essential life-saving skills in a single, memorable day at a suitable venue near you.

Roles & Responsibilities of a First Aider
Understand your legal and practical obligations as a first aider, including assessing your environment and taking control of incidents.
Incident Assessment
Gain the skills to approach and evaluate various first aid situations safely so you respond quickly and correctly when it matters most. Remember, the first 30 minutes after an injury are vital for the outcome of the patient.
Managing Unresponsive Casualties
Learn step-by-step procedures for managing unconscious casualties, including monitoring breathing and protecting airways.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Use of AED (Defibrillator)
Hands-on experience with automated external defibrillators, so you can work fast and efficiently in a cardiac emergency.

Wounds, Bleeding & Minor Injuries
Bandaging, bleeding control, and appropriate treatment for cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, and scalds.
