Course Duration
The Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification course runs over 2 days, totalling 12 hours of interactive, on-site first aid training. Although sessions are typically held from 09:00 to 16:00, we understand the diverse needs of the businesses we serve.
That's why we're flexible: our expert trainers are available day or night to fit around shift patterns, busy workloads, or out-of-hours requirements. Training is delivered at a location convenient to you, ensuring minimal disruption. Certificates are issued within 4 working days so your team maintains compliance with zero hassle.

The Role and Responsibilities of a First Aider
- Understanding employer and employee duties
- Staying calm in an emergency
- Effective communication and leadership at the scene
Assessing an Incident
- How to approach and assess various situations safely
- Conducting a primary survey
- Recognising the need for immediate intervention
Managing Unresponsive Casualties
- Checking for response, breathing, and pulse
- Placing casualties in the recovery position for safety
CPR and Use of AED (Defibrillator)
- Performing effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Correct use of on-site defibrillators, including when and how to deploy
Medical Emergencies
- Recognising and managing heart attacks, angina, and stroke
- First aid response for anaphylaxis, asthma attacks, and diabetic emergencies
- Handling seizures and epilepsy incidents
Serious and Minor Injuries
- Treatment of head, spinal, and chest injuries
- Dealing with wounds, severe bleeding, and shock
- Fractures, sprains, strains, and dislocations: stabilising and supporting
- Minor injuries such as cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, and scalds
Additional Critical Scenarios
- Effective management of choking
- First aid for eye injuries, poisoning, and electrical injuries
