What is the Difference Between an Open Course and an On-Site Course?

When choosing first aid training, it's important to understand the difference between open courses and on-site courses so you can select the format that best meets your needs.

Open courses, sometimes referred to as public courses, are scheduled at set venues and dates. Delegates from various companies and backgrounds come together to attend the same session.

This is a flexible option, ideal for individuals, small businesses, or those with only a few staff needing certification. Open courses are cost-effective when you have only one or two people to train and are perfect for those looking to network or learn alongside professionals from different industries.

Our Open Courses

On-site courses are delivered exclusively for your business, at your premises or any location you choose. Only your employees will be present, allowing the training to be tailored specifically to your work environment, risk profile, and internal policies.

This private approach provides the ultimate convenience, minimises operational disruption, and can be more economical for larger groups. On-site courses also allow for sensitive or confidential workplace scenarios to be included and directly addressed by our experienced trainers.

How to Get the Best Value for First Aid Training

Our fixed pricing covers up to 12 delegates per session, making our emergency first aid courses especially cost-effective for larger teams. If you wish to train more than 12 staff members at once, simply get in touch and we'll arrange additional trainers to maintain our high standards.

With mobile training that comes straight to your site, you minimise downtime, ensure your team is learning in the actual working environment, and benefit from a thorough yet practical approach. This flexibility ensures your investment goes further, letting you refresh whole teams' skills and satisfy health and safety compliance in one go.
